Child Development Centre is a private Montessori House of Children serving children between the age group of 2 to 6 years. CDC offers children a "Home away from Home" where in they are able to relax, settle down and at the same time learn while they work. The environment at CDC has been designed to allow children to move around freely and it also provides a spacious work and play area. Cleanliness and Hygiene play a very important role in CDC's Environment.

MISSION


We aim to provide a spacious, clean, safe, high-quality and developmentally appropriate environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and after-school children.
Our focus is to provide a stimulating early care and education experience which promotes each child's social/emotional, physical and cognitive development and develop their personalities.
Our target is to support children's desire to be life-long learners.
Our goal is to strengthen the bridge between parents’ work and family life by creating a worry-free environment that supports them both.

OUR CURRICULUM

    a) Montessori Time:

    The unique feature of the Montessori school cannot be overstated where by each child is given the freedom to choose his activities as best benefits his or her natural curiosity and corresponding to the special needs of his or her sensitive period of inner growth.The Montessori method respects the innate drive in each child that guides him/her to instinctively take hold of what he/she needs most to learn at that given moment. Maria Montessori discovered that if allowed to indulge this sensitive period, the child learns with greater enthusiasm and thoroughness

    b) Edutainment Time:

    Along with the Montessori way, we also work with the framework of eight Multiple Intelligences. Edutainment time is mainly to do with the group dynamics . Each child fall under one or the other Multiple Intelligence. Giving due importance to all the Multiple Intelligences, we work to achieve certain pre defined objectives. With the help of this framework, we analyze the requirements of the child and work towards it in his/her own way. We try to analyze as to which Multiple Intelligence the child comes under and based on which we work with the child.

    c) Activity Time:

    During this time, we work with the child helping him/her to be:
      YOUNG EXPRESSOR: Where his listening and expressing skills are nurtured through stories told by the children and the adult. The child tries to express his feeling about the story. Given the beginning of the story, the child may try to end it on his own based on what he feels.
      YOUNG RECITER: The children in the House are taught different Shlokas every month. And they recite them often, developing their reciting skills.
      YOUNG THINKER: The children are encouraged to think through various stories/ games/ activities related to art and craft, origami/ folding newspapers etc.
      YOUNG ARTIST: Children also spend quite some time on developing their drawing and coloring skills, thereby making them artists and developing patience in them.
      YOUNG READER: We encourage children to read books from our little library, so that a reading habit is cultivated right from this age. A special reading time is set up for the children every day at CDC

    d) Thematic Learning Approach:

    We emphasize on the child`s learning based on our thematic learning units. We have different themes for every month and we work based on those themes. We have activities round the month circled around those themes and the child eventually learns to a great extent and his/her General Knowledge improves.

    e) Brain Development Puzzles:

    We have different puzzles kept in the House, which will help the child get the concepts clearer, giving them a pictorial representation of various things.
      Every puzzle is child safe, non toxic and eco friendly.
      They help in building memory enabling the child to think.
      They develop observation skills and concentration.
      Builds a strong foundation for further learning skills.
      Helps in identifying the mistakes in each picture and helps to solve the puzzles.
      They are all self correcting puzzles.
      Creates awareness about the immediate surroundings.
      Helps develop co ordination and visual skills etc
     

    f) Music and Movement:

    This is an integral part of the classroom activities and children are given exposure to various forms of art and music. Story-telling and puppet theatre also form a part of the daily routine of the child.
